Title Deed

A title deed is the official document, issued by the Dubai Land Department, that proves legal ownership of a property.

A title deed is the official record of property ownership. In Dubai it is issued by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and names the legal owner, the property, and its details. It is the definitive proof that a person or company owns a unit.

For a completed property, the title deed is issued on transfer. For off-plan purchases, ownership is first recorded through interim registration (Oqood) and the title deed follows once the project is handed over.

For agencies and developers, keeping ownership records straight — current owner, unit, and history — matters at every transfer. IRM365 tracks units through their status and ownership history inside property and unit management.
